Seattle-based artist on the rise Dempsey Hope is back with a new special single “plug my ears”
Dempsey Hope new single “plug my ears” was written by Dempsey, with support from Jake Crocker and Jason Strong. “plug my ears” follows Dempsey’s latest tracks “reset”, “strawberry cheesecake”, “birds”, “picture perfect”, “on my mind” and “autumn” which was featured in Billboard’s “10 Cool New Pop Songs To Get You Through The Week” column.
Dempsey says, “life is special, exciting, overwhelming. i like to think that i have a grasp on my emotions and actions, but that’s not always the case, especially when dealing with outside pressures. “plug my ears” is about a response to extremely overwhelming circumstances. when you are under a tremendous amount of stress, or you’re going through something that you literally cannot deal with in that moment, you just need to plug your ears, shut it out, and pretend it’s not happening. a feeling that i sadly think a lot of people can relate to, especially in this day and age. just know that it will be alright and sometimes it’s okay to just take a moment.”
Dempsey wrapped up his first nationwide run of shows where he supported Ryan Caraveo on his “Northend Sweetheart Tour.”
