Listen To David Archuleta – Therapy Sessions
American Singer Star David Archuleta Announced His New Album ‘Therapy Sessions‘ Out Now
Nashville-based artist & songwriter David Archuleta has released his highly anticipated & timely new album Therapy Sessions, available to stream now on all DSPs worldwide. The album debuted at #1 on the Amazon and iTunes Pop Charts and #2 across all genres
Therapy Sessions features an inside look inside David’s internal struggle with himself – a battle he has experienced for most of his life. “I was going through therapy and trying to apply the steps it took to escape the barriers I had created for myself,” he explains. “Whether it was fear, loss, dwelling on the past, or anxiety. There’s a constant battle going on because so much of my mind doesn’t want to budge. The songs are a sort of a back and forth within the inner dialogue I have with myself.” It’s been three years since David’s last album Postcards in the Sky, and this new body of work represents transparency that has not been present in previous releases.

“Music has always been healing for me,” Archuleta goes on to say. “My mission with it is to heal, and then encourage to move forward after the healing takes place. I want people to find answers to their worries and doubts as they listen to Therapy Sessions, more than ever during this difficult time.”
Along with announcing the album earlier this month, David released a video for the track “Just Breathe” that was self-filmed in quarantine and highlights both the COVID-19 struggles and relief efforts, which also includes some donated footage from various contributors on social media. All proceeds of the video are being donated to Direct Relief, supporting COVID-19 relief. Archuleta also recently raised nearly $7,000 for the charity with a Facebook Live Music event with Billboard.
David Archuleta became a star when he was just 16 years old. In 2008, more than 30 million television viewers fell in love with his angelic voice and their 44 million votes made him runner-up and fan favorite in Season 7 of American Idol. Soon after, David’s single “Crush” debuted at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.. According to Nielsen SoundScan, the track sold 166,000 downloads in its first week in the U.S. and subsequently more than 1.92 million digital copies to reach double platinum. Three months later, David’s self-titled album went gold, selling more than 750,000 copies in the U.S., and more than 900,000 copies worldwide. Most recently, David’s national headlining tour in December was 85% sold out. David currently garners over 7 million streams each month across all platforms, with an engaged fan base that allows him to sell out 2 national tours per year.
