Danny Addison is set to release his captivating new single ‘Pouring Out’, a stirring and emotional lament that is gently powerful.
Stripped back to its raw melodies and acoustic guitar instrumentation, Danny creates a subtle cinematic soundscape that amplifies his songwriting perfectly, capturing his state of mind entirely unrestricted and without sugar-coating a failing relationship. Delivering poetic lyrics with his soothing, mellow vocals, Danny Addison is guaranteed to capture your heart.
Talking about the new track, Danny Addison shares: “Pouring Out is about wishing you could get around the problems that others in relationships face but then falling short like countless others before you. I think we sometimes like to believe that we could be another person’s everything, but it’s our flaws that also make us who we are and they’re ultimately unavoidable. It’s also longing for the feeling of being blissfully unaware of this.”
Multi-instrumentalist Danny Addison has his third EP , ‘Shallows’, set for release in early 2022. All the music on ‘Shallows’ has been written, recorded, produced and mixed by Danny, his brother, and producer Tom, and drummer Cam. Danny is also booked to play the UK Americana Music Week 2022.
In 2020 Danny released his debut EP, Colour Songs, a melancholic reflection on the causes of infatuation and resentment. This work contributed to his acceptance into the English Folk Expo Artist Mentoring Programme and being booked to perform at FOCUS Wales 2021 and Manchester Folk Festival 2021.
Danny has just released his second, four-track EP, Porcelain to positive reviews and radio play from BBC Introducing.
