Multi-platinum artist Daniel Seavey unveils his brand new surprise debut solo EP “Dancing in the Dark“
After a hiatus of over seven months, multi-platinum singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Daniel Seavey has made a surprise return with his debut solo EP, “Dancing in the Dark.”
The EP showcases Seavey’s recent single “I Tried,” which Rolling Stone recognized as one of The Best Songs of 2023.
This follows his initial solo tracks “Can We Pretend That We’re Good?” and “Runaway.” These songs, described as “punchy and experimental” by Billboard, have collectively amassed over 40 million global streams.
Seavey’s solo journey began in late 2022, which was soon followed by a sold-out 2023 “Introducing Daniel Seavey” headline tour. The tour was a massive success, with tickets selling out within minutes. Fans were treated to a mix of Seavey’s new tracks and dynamic covers, all produced live.
“Dancing in the Dark” features eagerly awaited tracks from the tour, including fan-favorites “Leave Me Alone” and “Fall Into You.”
In 2016, Seavey co-founded the band “Why Don’t We,” achieving remarkable success with over 4 billion global career streams, multiple RIAA certifications, and sold-out tours. While touring, Seavey began developing ideas that would later form the foundation of his unique sound.
In 2022, he dedicated himself to creating what he envisioned as his debut album, playing every instrument and infusing his essence into each aspect of the music. Now, after a grueling legal process, Seavey is poised to embrace 2024 as a liberated artist.
With the release of “Dancing in the Dark,” he aims to satiate fans as he embarks on crafting an album filled with “more experience, more joy, and more weightlessness than ever before.”
