Cris Chil steps into the spotlight with her debut EP ‘colapso’, out today. At the center of the three-track release is the powerful single ‘SOLITA AF’, a perreo anthem that fuses dembow, Spanish rap, and Anglo-influenced production. The song delivers a bold statement of independence and celebrates self-love with the mantra, “better alone than in bad company.”
Reflecting on the track, Cris Chil shares:
“SOLITA AF is about reclaiming joy, finding power in being alone, and realizing you don’t need anyone else to complete you. It’s playful, it’s bold, and it’s me stepping into my own voice as an artist after years of writing for others.”
The single arrives with a dark, lo-fi short film that extends the cinematic narrative of the project. Across ‘colapso’, which features “Así Soy,” “Freezer,” and ‘SOLITA AF’, Chil symbolically buries the past and embraces self-possession. The EP lays the foundation for her four-part debut album, set to unfold across fall 2025.
