Pop singer-songwriter Christian French is taking over the pop music scene with new single ‘Evergreen’ via Disruptor Records/RCA Records
The release of “evergreen” follows a run of new releases from Christian this year, including “butterfly fields” and the viral hit “golden years.”
Directed by Hunter Lyon, the video for “evergreen” follows the separate paths of Christian and a former flame before both stories subtly converge at the end. The stark contrast between the two is highlighted throughout the visuals, with Christian traveling through a forest while his love interest goes through her day in the city, further emphasizing both the physical and emotional distance between them.
Christian says: “‘evergreen’ is based around being lost in the nostalgia of your first love – reminiscing on the good memories, confessing the thoughts you’ve held in for years, and wondering if there’s any chance of rekindling the flame in the future. This music video takes you to present day – me, solemn, alone, and still sort of in a daze thinking about her, and then her, living her normal life back in my hometown as a teacher, going out with friends and not really thinking much about me at all. We’re living two completely different lives, but somehow, I’ve always held her close.”
