Grammy-nominated artist Carla Morrison releases her first-ever English song ‘Everything Was For Love‘
Following a stunning performance on Good Morning America, Grammy-nominated and three-time Latin Grammy-winning artist Carla Morrison has released her first-ever English language song ‘Everything Was For Love’. The song, released via Cosmica Artists, is the title track for the new film ‘Con Esta Luz’ (With This Light), which premieres today in the US.
The film tells the inspiring story of Sister Maria Rosa Leggol, who dedicated her life to helping women and children escape poverty and violence in Honduras. Carla’s song captures the triumphant spirit of her own journey, while paying tribute to the life and work of Sister Maria Rosa.
Carla’s captivating performance on Good Morning America included her popular track ‘Encontrarme’ from her critically acclaimed album ‘El Renacimiento’, as well as a moving rendition of ‘Todo Fue Por Amor’ from the ‘With This Light’ film. This appearance further solidified Carla’s impact within the music industry and beyond, recognizing her as a significant and influential artist.
The music video for ‘Everything Was For Love’, directed by Laura Castellanos and produced by Jessy Terrero (Cinematic Giants), beautifully illustrates the song’s powerful message of universal love and its healing power. ‘With This Light’ chronicles Sister Maria’s remarkable 70-year journey, during which she helped over 87,000 children. The film portrays her beginnings as an orphan raised by nuns and her later dedication to her local Honduran community through her transformative non-profit, Sociedad Amigos de los Niños. The film aims to showcase the incredible strength of the people helped by Sister Maria, rather than depicting them as victims.
Carla will also be embarking on a new US headlining tour starting today, August 4th, in Napa, CA, and concluding on August 21st in Chicago, IL. The tour includes a standout show at the legendary Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on August 12th. Tickets for the tour are now on sale.
