Australian-Lebanese singer and songwriter Azure Ryder Returns With Brilliant New Single ‘Some Kind of Love’ produced by Dylan Nash
Azure’s second EP ‘Crazy With The Light’ followed in November 2020 despite the hurdles that the year peppered throughout the industry and solidified her ability to deliver a perfectly formed body of work.
This new offering ‘Some Kind of Love’ was originally written and recorded in London (and was in fact the demo that got her record deal with Island Records) and has more recently been produced and mixed by Sydney-based Dylan Nash.
As life evolves so too does her pool of inspiration for her songwriting. Written in London where the young singer-songwriter lived for a couple of years, ‘Some Kind of Love’ is a euphoric and powerful step forward for Azure. The video is directed by Simon Lekias – who’s worked with the likes of Kylie and Lily Allen and produced all of Azure’s visuals for her new era – and keeps Azure firmly front and centre, adorned in black and gold with the camera magnetically drawn to her, leaving the viewer in rapture.
The connection with Simon Lekias came via fellow Australian world-renowned creative, the fashion designer Zimmerman choosing Azure’s track ‘Stronger’ for their 70’s mirrored Fall 2021 ready-to-wear campaign. For the runway show they worked with Lekias and four Australian musicians who each performed their own song for a curated video that formed the backdrop to the show.
. Azure now has 25M global streams and received plaudits in the UK from the likes of the BBC, Sunday Times, Notion and BBC Radio 1 plus. Playing two knockout sold out shows in Sydney in December 2020, Azure hopes to bring her captivating live sets to worldwide stages soon…
