Rising pop star AVIV talking about young loneliness on her brand new brilliant single “lonely bitch“
The new single from the rising star is perfect in time for Valentine’s Day, “lonely bitch” is a gentle flutter of young loneliness with layered bedroom beats and airy vocals, but don’t be fooled by it’s simplicity.
At a young 14 years old, AVIV has generated intense interest from a multitude of labels as she builds a deeply interested fanbase and joined the Joe Buscema (Bearings, dad sports, Ryan Woods) management roster.
AVIV shares about the new single, “Being home, alone, I developed this sense of anger and blame which resulted in endless nights crying in my room. The song Lonely Bitch was inspired by a toxic relationship I developed with myself, at the height of the pandemic. This energy began to consume me and showed me I did not want to stay in these ways. “Lonely Bitch” is a term which represents the girl I was in those times.“
Driven by an array of influences from grunge rock Nirvana to alt/indie artist Clairo, at 10 years old AVIV decided to switch her focus to performing music.
Forced to become intimate with her songwriting and her Les Paul in the wake of COVID lockdown, music became her personal diary, her way of communicating her inner thoughts.
