Los Angeles-based rising indie-pop star August Royals returns with a brand new stunning single “Kiss My Scars”
The new single “Kiss My Scars” by August Royals was produced by Dave Villa and multi-platinum hitmaker Sir Nolan, the indie-pop production explores the push and pull of letting down one’s guard and embracing the journey of self-acceptance, bursting with soulful melodies and emotion-laden guitar riffs.
August shares, “‘Kiss My Scars’ is about diving all into love,” says August. “Sometimes that love is for others, other times it’s learning to finally love ourselves. This song is all about moving forward.”
The Georgia-born and Los Angeles-based singer and songwriter first caught listeners’ attention in 2019 when he posted a clip of his song “Restless” and went viral on Instagram with hundreds of thousands of views.
After a chance meeting with Kevin Abstract at a show in Los Angeles, the two became fast friends and collaborators. Championed by Abstract, August signed with RCA Records and released his debut single “Blue Football” to praise and critical acclaim.
