Hot on the heels of her latest release “Murderer”, ARI is back today with her brand new Halloween EP ‘Kiss Me, Kill Me‘
The new EP from ARI ‘Kiss Me, Kill Me’ features 3 tracks, inspired by the Toronto native’s fascination with Halloween, explores the darker facets of love, lust, pain, and heartbreak.
Through haunting lyricism and spellbinding soundscapes, ARI narrates her own personal experiences from past relationships within the framework of a horror novel. Kiss Me, Kill Me offers listeners a glimpse into an edgier side of the 21-year-old songwriter’s music.
The new EP Follows ARI latest single “Murderer”, co-produced by “Trampoline” hitmakers SHAED. A sultry and emotive ballad, “Murderer” represents the death of a relationship at the hands of a toxic lover.
Track two is a spine-tingling, seductive rendition of Screamin’ Jay Hawkins’ classic “I Put A Spell On You”, in which ARI comes back from the dead and lures her killer back for revenge. Lastly, the taunting title track “Kiss Me, Kill Me” brings us to the final climax, where ARI turns the tables and murders the one who broke her heart.
ARI Says about the new EP: “I’ve been so excited for this EP ever since the idea was conceived. I’m a huge Halloween fanatic, so finally releasing this is a perfectly splendid nightmare. I love all things creepy and sinister, and I wanted to experiment with music that allowed me to escape into a dark fantasy world. This EP is for the little Halloween-obsessed ARI who dreamed of having her very own spooky songs out in the world. I think she would be proud.”
The new EP ‘Kiss Me, Kill Me‘ is the follow-up to ARI’s impressive debut EP IDIOT GRL. Featuring production work by the likes of DeathbyRomy and Cambo (Doja Cat), the five-track project has amassed over one million streams on Spotify alone since it’s summer release.
ARI keep taking over the pop music scene with her latest releases ‘Cold War’, ‘IDIOT GRL’ and latest one ‘Murderer‘
