Anuel AA, Daddy Yankee, Karol G, Ozuna y J Balvin Bring on the hit of the Summer with “China”
Nearly two decades after Shaggy’s mega-hit, “It Wasn’t Me,” dominated throughout the Carribean and American radio, música Urbana mainstays, Anuel AA, Ozuna, Karol G, Daddy Yankee, and J. Balvin unleash a highly-coveted sample remix, “CHINA.” The electric music video has already accumulated 46 million views since it’s Friday, release on July 19th.
The single officially commemorates a full 365 days of freedom, following Anuel AA’s incarceration in Puerto Rico. With an all-star lineup and it’s EDM-twisted reggaeton the new single adds a Spanish-language flip to the “It Wasn’t Me” chorus: “Honey came in and she caught me red-handed/Creepin’ with the girl next door/ Picture this, we were both butt naked/Bangin’ on the bathroom floor.” With the tune’s infectious rhythm and each A-list Latinx artists verses, “CHINA,” is sure to become a summer danceable.
Exactly one year ago, Anuel AA made history throughout the Latinx music industry. After serving a sentence of ten months in federal prison, he proved his lyricism on the album, Real Hasta La Muerte. The LP solidified him as an international and viral phenomenon. Recovering his musical credibility throughout the industry, and his legacy as a pioneer within the Latin trap genre, Anuel AA did the impossible with Real Hasta La Muerte. Today he celebrates this momentum with the surprise collab, “CHINA.”
Anuel AA, Daddy Yankee, Karol G, Ozuna & J Balvin – China
The opening 16 bars by el Dios del Trap seamlessly transitions in a beautifully sung verse by the negrito con ojos claros and their well-choreographed entourage. Under the direction of Marlon P, the Big Boss backflips through double-entendres in high-definition, lyrically exemplifying why he arguably maintains the most-impactful staying-power in reggaeton to date.
To follow, Karol G changes up the season with her partner in life and music’s signature “Brr” adlibs — putting on for the ladies. Bringing back the tropical cadences, J. Balvin flows over the memorable earworms’ hook. All-in-all, Anuel AA proves his powerful cultural influence by teaming up chart-topping Ozuna, legendary Daddy Yankee, songstress Karol G, and in-demand J. Blavin for one smash record.
”I certainly learned from my mistakes, but I would not change what I have lived through for anything. Because it has made me a strong person, I am today. The success, I owe to my fans, who did not hesitate a second to believe in me, again,” said Anuel AA.
