Aloe Blacc and Cooper Alan have unveiled their highly anticipated country rendition of “Wake Me Up,” marking ten years since the original song, co-created by Avicii and Blacc, captured global attention. This reimagined version bridges Aloe’s soulful legacy with Cooper’s fresh, modern country sound, offering a bold new take on a timeless hit.
The original “Wake Me Up” became an anthem for millions, achieving diamond certification and multi-billion streams. Aloe Blacc, known for his emotionally charged performances, embraced the idea of revisiting the track when Cooper Alan suggested a country-inspired version. Alan’s meteoric rise, propelled by his relatable sound and a fanbase of over 15 million followers, makes him an ideal collaborator for this cross-genre project.
“‘Wake Me Up’ has always felt like it carried a bit of a country soul to it,” shares Alan. “The idea of giving it a new life in a genre I love felt like a perfect fit.” Fresh off an international tour and with over 500 million streams to his name, Alan continues to solidify his place in the country music world.
