Dream Team: Fast rising DJ and Music Producer Duo Ship Wrek and MKLA reveal a new epic single ‘Show Me A Sign’ via Astralwerks
The new single “Show Me A Sign” features MKLA’s beguiling vocals cut to the core of a relationship at the crossroads while Ship Wrek’s production percolates with a driving, relentless beat, and an intriguing dark edge.
Ship Wrek shares about the new single, “Working with MKLA has been one of our favorite collaborations. She came to our studio a few months ago and we instantly knew we would create something amazing together. We wrote the song in a couple hours and it’s now become one of our favorite records,” says Ship Wrek. “‘Show Me A Sign’ showcases a deep/vibey side to our style that we haven’t shown too much in our music. We’ve been testing the song out at our shows over the past couple of months and the crowd reaction has been awesome.”
MKLA and Ship Wrek single is the latest in a series of impressive collaborations from the amazing rising singer, which includes songs with Vintage Culture and Adam K (“Save Me,” “Deep Inside of Me”), Zeds Dead (“Alive”), and Alok and KSHMR (“Let Me Go”).
MKLA says, “Ship Wrek has such great energy in the studio, and on stage,” MKLA adds. “They set this vibe in the studio that just clicked for all of us. We instantly became fast friends. I’m really excited for everyone to hear what we’ve created together.”
Currently, on the road with Two Friends, Ship Wrek played out “Show Me A Sign” for the very first time during a recent three-night stand at Terminal 5 in New York City. The duo will also perform at Lake Havasu Spring Break, Beyond Wonderland Southern California, the Hangout, Bonnaroo and Sunset music festivals, and Tiësto The Trip 2022 in Cancun.
The new single from Ship Wrek and MKLA “Show Me A Sign” follows the duo’s late 2021 single, “Stimulate,” which has amassed over 600,000 combined global streams.
Ship Wrek kicked off 2022 by dropping a new remix each day over the course of five days. Their remixes of tracks by Yaeji, Cardi B, Tame Impala, Chris Lorenzo, and Justin Bieber are collected on Volume 2 of their edit pack, which is available for streaming.
