Rising Austin indie-rock group Sarah and the Sundays drops a new Incredible track “I’m So Bored” Featured along with an official video
In their new single ‘I’m So Bored’, Sarah and the Sundays offers a tongue-in-cheek depiction of the monotonous day-to-day life of the pandemic and captures the vocal essence of The Strokes’ Julian Casablancas and a songwriting resemblance to Phoenix.
The band shares, “‘I’m So Bored’ is a song we wrote a few weeks into quarantine, once life had really come to a halt,” the band says. “We decided to channel our boredom into music and created a song that people hopefully can resonate with but can also have fun with.“
After releasing their first music as a trio, the band welcomed Quinn as their drummer. As the boys headed off to college in separate directions, they knew that the musical bond they formed would keep them together despite their distance.
The first album from Sarah and the Sundays has amassed over 10 million streams and the boys decided to take a leap of faith: leaving college after one year to pursue their dream. Since the release, they have been writing new music, playing live shows, making waves in the Austin music scene, and creating a buzz on college campuses across the country.
By a twist of fate, Liam’s college roommate was a talented guitarist and quickly joined the band, making the lineup complete. Little did they know that they would become pioneers in working remotely, as they recorded their album So You’re Mad About The Cups virtually, a year before the pandemic hit.
