Rising Electronic Music Star Rome In Silver delivers his New EP ‘Like Lightning’ on bitbird label
Listen Now To – Rome in Silver – Like Lightning
Although the world is slowing down a little at the moment, the reality is we’re living in a fast-changing world where relatively seen we can get what they want, whenever they want it. We don’t carefully select our record collection in local record stores anymore, and thus we don’t play the full record over and over on our record player, just because we put so much effort into finding it. Now, when something isn’t interesting enough, we skip through.
For artists, this is a hard reality. It’s difficult to keep people engaged with your art while still staying true to your artistic vision. Rome in Silver very consciously creates with this knowledge in the back of his head, using it to his advantage by challenging himself to make something that’s more unique and detailed. His new EP ‘Like Lightning’ implies the struggle we all face with this new reality and why it’s important to slow down and appreciate something for what it is.
“I never want to make music that people skip through to get to certain parts, which is why I add subtle details and unconventional structure changes to keep things interesting as the song evolves.”
‘Like Lightning’ is the perfect example of engaging the listener while sticking to your vision as an artist. After releasing the indie-electronic ‘Fade’, uplifting house-track ‘Yoko’ and the quirky drum and bass track ‘Fiore’, Rome in Silver adds another completely new track to the series with ‘You Don’t Know (what it’s like)’, tying the tracks together in a versatile and unique EP full of intricate but captivating sounds. No track sounds like the other, but they all sound like Rome in Silver.
Although it’s unsure whether Rome in Silver can still embark on his planned tour with Memba and CloZee, Rome in Silver is not sitting still. He recently performed on bitbird’s online event ‘A Virtual Night With Bitbird’, their community event ‘Create Together URL Fest’ and is doing multiple live-streams in the near future.
