Mike Williams returns with new powerful single ‘Best Part Missing’ via Spinnin’ Records
I’m so excited to share my upcoming EP STORYLINES with the world! The title of the project draws from the complex stories that exist within all of us, the backgrounds and experiences that shape who we are and why we make our choices. For me, music is that foundation, and I aim to honour its impact in my life by exploring my own personal musical journey in each song on the EP.
STORYLINES will track major moments in my musical career, from finding my footing in radio to thriving with the club-focused sound that has led to some of my most unforgettable memories.
This EP represents my return to a more liberated relationship with my music after a break in October 2021 where I really rediscovered what made me happy. This newfound passion particularly shines through in the songs in STORYLINES – instead of weighing me down as a metaphorical ball and chain, music has once again opened the door to a world of freedom and liberation.
I am also thrilled to announce my Storylines show at ADE on 21st October to celebrate the EP release on the same day! The show will focus on my own personal musical journey but will also involve everyone who has had an important role in my story – we know the acts by name, but what are their own stories? I hope to give back to my fans, audiences, and peers who have been there for me every step of the way by representing their own contributions to my success.
The first single, Best Part Missing, is an ode to the relief that comes with finding the right person in the overwhelming sea of life. It explores the layers of emotional ups and downs that come with meeting those who come and go.
