Global electronic music artist Eli Brown Shares Official Video For ‘Killer’ by Sam Wiehl
Eli Brown’s ‘Killer’ is an exhilarating burst of electronic music that announces his arrival on the global stage. Today, Eli Brown unveils the groundbreaking visuals for the track; an introduction to a brand new virtual world, born from a collaboration between two award-winning artists within their respective fields.
Sam Wiehl is an award winning artist, live event designer and film-maker focusing on the visualisation of sound and immersive audience experiences. His collaborations include work with Matthew Herbert, Actress, Chris Watson and Forest Swords also receiving commissions from the Art and Electronic Music Festival scene including Ableton, Unsound, Tate and Mira Festival. He is also Visual Director of the annual Liverpool International Festival of Psychedelia.
Using Unreal Engine, a software used and popularised in the creation of video games such as Unreal, Deus Ex, Fortnite, and more, Weihl has created a surreal club space that encapsulates his talents for live event design, film-making, sound visualisation, and immersive psychedelic experiences. The first iteration of this club space has been born to present ‘Killer’ in audiovisual form. Together, Eli Brown and Sam Wiehl have created an experiential video that charts the entry to a mysterious warehouse, before being flung headfirst into the hallucinogenic euphoria of a 4am techno set.
Already known for a dark, brooding aesthetic that feeds into his hard-edged, driving form of dance music, ‘Killer’s vocal recalls an act of defiance, providing the track with a real human element before rushing headfirst into heavy duty kicks that punctuate disorientating synths. Traversing ghostlike textures and a rumbling low end, ‘Killer’ is the perfect introduction to Eli Brown – an artist with a completely 360 mindset to creation, pooling together disparate influences from the rich musical history of his Bristol hometown and beyond to create something unique, but no less devastating.
With the world at a complete standstill, the pioneering visual for Eli Brown’s ‘Killer’ provides immersive elation usually only found in the world’s premiere club spaces. An artist who has already racked up releases on some of the world’s most prominent dance music labels such as Alan Fitzpatrick’s We Are The Brave, Adam Beyer’s Truesoul, Sola, Repopulate Mars, Defected, Relief, Ultra and his own Arcane imprint, Eli Brown is ready to channel this wealth of experience to shape a new sonic episode into an already storied career as one of the most exciting, unpredictable producers working today.
