Crystal Skies and Mazare teams up on a brand new single ‘Cruel Summer‘ featuring Bertie Scott
‘Cruel Summer’ is Crystal Skies’ fourth single and an invigorating blend of future bass and D&B, with Bertie’s melancholic vocals injecting some raw emotion into the fray. It marks Crystal Skies and Mazare’s second collaboration, following the 2020 single ‘Hear Me Now’ featuring Luma.
The duo says: “We fell in love with this vocal from the first time we heard it and we knew we wanted to do something special and different with it. We sent it over to Mazare after we got some of the instrumental down and what he sent back was incredible and made it really easy for the inspiration to flow. From that point on it became one of our favorite tracks off of the upcoming album because it was something a little adventurous, fun and out of our comfort zone.“
Mazare adds: “It’s been a pleasure to work on another song with Crystal Skie. We’ve always had great synergy and similar ideas, and this makes everything even more fun and exciting. Bertie killed it on the vocals too, and it’s my first track on Insomniac, so I’m even more hyped!”
Bertie Scott adds: “Super excited to finally release this one. Crystal Skies and Mazare have really taken the production up to the next level. Such good vibes, can’t wait to be able to finally play this live. Big up to Lost in Dreams/Insomniac for believing in this one too!“
