Calum Hood’s ‘ORDER chaos ORDER’ is out now on Capitol Records, featuring new single “Sunsetter.”

Calum Hood makes his long-awaited solo debut with ‘ORDER chaos ORDER’, a deeply introspective and musically rich album out now via Capitol Records. The release is accompanied by a stunning visual for “Sunsetter,” one of the album’s most serene and evocative tracks.

Best known for his work with 5 Seconds of Summer, Calum uses ‘ORDER chaos ORDER’ to navigate the emotional fallout of change and the strength it takes to move forward. “My lyrics come from a place of purity,” he says. “It was important to pay homage to that side of my younger self.”

Written primarily with Jackson Phillips (Day Wave), the album also includes collaborations with David Burris and TMS, resulting in a finely balanced blend of analog warmth and modern clarity. The production is intimate yet cinematic, perfectly matching the rawness of Calum’s lyrics.

Opening track “Don’t Forget You Love Me” — dubbed a “Song You Need To Know” by Rolling Stone — sets the tone with emotional weight and honesty. Follow-up tracks like “Sweetdreams”, “All My Affection”, and “Call Me When You Know Better” explore memory, regret, and self-discovery with quiet power.

More than just a new project, ‘ORDER chaos ORDER’ marks the arrival of Calum Hood as a solo voice in the indie-pop space. With melodic sophistication and lyrical truth, the album feels like a personal letter—folded, sealed, and sent straight to the heart.
