One of the biggest afrobeats festival Afro Nation Puerto Rico 2022 has added Burna Boy and Yemi Alade to the lineup
About Afro Nation Puerto Rico:
The massive festival is Taking place on 24-26 March, they will join the likes of Megan Thee Stallion, Wizkid, Afro B, Ckay, Tems, Olamide, Rema, and Wande Coal.
One of the biggest artists on the planet, ‘African Giant’ Burna Boy marks his return to Afro Nation fresh from winning ‘Best International Act’ at the BET Awards – his third consecutive victory – and ‘Best World Music Album’ at the Grammys.
Last year also saw him collaborate with fellow Afro Nation performer Wizkid on single ‘B. d’Or’, and with Don Jazzy and Polo G on ‘Question’ and ‘Want It All’ respectively. He’s set to make history as the first African artist to play Madison Square Garden in New York this April. An artist truly bringing Africa to a global stage.
Yemi Alade won the MTV African Music Awards for ‘Best Female’ in 2015 and 2016 consecutively and was nominated for ‘Artiste of the Year’ in 2015, the first female to achieve consecutive accolades.
More recently she was appointed as a United Nations Development Programme ambassador and performed at the Earthshot Prize ceremony at London’s Alexandra Palace.
With the addition of two of Africa’s finest and most recognizable musical talents, the first-ever North American version of Afro Nation is primed to be the biggest yet.
