Originating from March, Cambridgeshire, Devan embraces his identity as a proud “Fen boy,” which significantly shapes his artistic expression and perspective within the UK country scene. Growing up in a close-knit and hardworking family, he draws from his experiences to forge a sound that is both fresh and relatable. “Wyatt Earp” stands out for being Devan’s initial endeavor in songwriting and recording. With no prior experience in music writing, this single represents a significant leap into uncharted territory, fueled only by his lifelong passion for music.
In Devan’s own words, “I’ve always loved music, but this is my first time truly stepping into it as my own. It’s a new chapter, and I’m excited for everything that’s ahead.” Already generating excitement, the single has garnered early radio support, including a feature on CountryLine Homegrown with Tim Prottey-Jones. For Devan, hearing his song played on the air, surrounded by family, was described as “a full circle experience.”
While navigating the music landscape, Devan also juggles his career as a carpenter and his work with Sovereign Quarter Horses in Cambridgeshire. His artistry has already been showcased at local events like the Rockin’ the Country festival, where he anticipates launching his EP later this year.
