Emerging as a notable force in the UK country and Americana genres, Devan is set to unveil his debut single, “Wyatt Earp,” on Friday, April 3rd. This release not only marks his first official entry into the music industry but also signifies a deeply personal journey rooted in intricate storytelling and emotional honesty.
Originating from March, Cambridgeshire, Devan embraces his identity as a proud “Fen boy,” which significantly shapes his artistic expression and perspective within the UK country scene. Growing up in a close-knit and hardworking family, he draws from his experiences to forge a sound that is both fresh and relatable. “Wyatt Earp” stands out for being Devan’s initial endeavor in songwriting and recording. With no prior experience in music writing, this single represents a significant leap into uncharted territory, fueled only by his lifelong passion for music.
In Devan’s own words, “I’ve always loved music, but this is my first time truly stepping into it as my own. It’s a new chapter, and I’m excited for everything that’s ahead.” Already generating excitement, the single has garnered early radio support, including a feature on CountryLine Homegrown with Tim Prottey-Jones. For Devan, hearing his song played on the air, surrounded by family, was described as “a full circle experience.”

While navigating the music landscape, Devan also juggles his career as a carpenter and his work with Sovereign Quarter Horses in Cambridgeshire. His artistry has already been showcased at local events like the Rockin’ the Country festival, where he anticipates launching his EP later this year.
His songwriting is deeply influenced by personal experiences, notably the loss of his grandfather, who served as both a close companion and a source of inspiration for future tracks, including the highly anticipated “Better Man.” Themes of resilience, identity, family ties, and respect are woven throughout his music—reflecting the values that define him.
Outside of music, Devan’s active lifestyle as a rugby player for March Bears RUFC and a cold water swimming enthusiast highlights his authentic spirit that resonates in his artistic endeavors. With a debut EP on the horizon, Devan is establishing himself as an intriguing new talent in the UK country and Americana landscape, poised to share his meaningful narratives with the world.
